1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering or using Prepni.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Prepni connects learners with qualified tutors for online and offline learning sessions.
Users can create accounts, book lessons, sync with Google Calendar, and access educational materials provided through our platform.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Users will be notified of any changes in advance.

- All tutor payments on Prepni are settled in USD ($), not EUR (€).

For simplicity, payments follow the fixed rate of $1 = £1 GBP.

3b. Platform  Commision

We reserve the right to change pricing commission at any time. By registering as a tutor on Prepni, you agree that Prepni will retain a 30% commission from the total amount paid by a student for each lesson successfully booked and completed through the platform.

The commission covers, but is not limited to:

Platform access and maintenance

Payment processing and transaction handling

Marketing and student acquisition

Customer support and dispute resolution

Technical infrastructure and security

The remaining 70% of the lesson fee constitutes the tutor’s earnings.

If you do not agree with the commission rate or any related payment terms, you are advised not to proceed with account creation or use of the platform as a tutor.

Creating an account, listing services, or conducting lessons on Prepni constitutes explicit acceptance of these terms and conditions.

4. Eligibiliy

You must:
Be at least 18 years old to register independently, or 
Use the platform under the supervision and consent of a parent/guardian if under 18.

5. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

✔ Provide accurate and updated information

✔ Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials

✔ Use Prepni only for lawful educational purposes

✔ Communicate respectfully with other users

Users must not:

✘ Impersonate others

✘ Upload offensive, abusive, or illegal content

✘ Attempt to bypass security or misuse data

✘ Copy or resell platform content or code

6. Third-Party Integrations (Including Google API Services)

Prepni integrates with Google Calendar to enhance scheduling and class management.

To improve scheduling, users can connect their Google Calendar to Prepni.

By enabling this feature, you grant Prepni permission to:

- Create and manage tutoring events on your Calendar

- View availability for class booking purposes

We do not:
- Access unrelated Google data

- Store calendar event content beyond scheduling metadata

- Sell or share Google user data with third parties

- Use Google user data for advertising

- Users can revoke access anytime via:

https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Prepni’s use of Google data strictly adheres to the

Google API Services User Data Policy including Limited Use requirements.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content (logos, brand assets, code, curriculum, text) is owned or licensed by Prepni. Users receive a limited, non-transferable right to use Prepni solely for personal learning and teaching activities.

Google trademarks and branding are not used by Prepni.

References to Google products are text-only and descriptive.

8. Data Protection & Security

We implement:
Encryption of sensitive data
Secure storage of access tokens
Role-based access control
Regular security audits and monitoring
Immediate token deletion upon disconnect

9. Account Suspension or Termination

Prepni reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts for:

Violation of these Terms

Fraudulent or abusive behavior

Misuse of Google data or integrations

Failure to comply with legal requests

Users may request account deletion anytime.

10. User Content

You retain ownership of any content (messages, materials, notes) uploaded to the platform. By submitting content, you grant Prepni a limited license to display and use it for educational and operational purposes.

11. Payments and Refunds

All payments for lessons or subscription services are processed securely. Refunds may be issued according to our refund policy available on the platform.

All tutor payments on Prepni are settled in USD ($). Displayed EUR (€) or GBP (£) conversions are estimates. Prepni uses a fixed internal rate of $1 = £1 GBP for payout calculations

You retain ownership of any content (messages, materials, notes) uploaded to the platform. By submitting content, you grant Prepni a limited license to display and use it for educational and operational purposes.

• Payments for tutoring sessions must be made through our platform. Accepted payment methods include bank cards and [Stripe, Paypal, Razorpay, Paystack, Paytm, Flutterwave, Payfast].

• The tutor cancels the session.
• The session did not occur due to technical issues on the platform.

• Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance through the platform.

12. Tutor Responsibilities

• Tutors must provide accurate and up-to-date information in their profiles. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension.

• Tutors are expected to deliver sessions professionally and punctually.

13. Student Responsibilities

• Students are expected to attend sessions on time and actively participate.

• Students are encouraged to provide constructive feedback and rate their tutors after each session.

14. Cancellation Policy

Student Cancellations

• Students can cancel or reschedule a session without any penalty if done up to 24 hours before the scheduled session start time. No charges will be applied.

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will incur a cancellation fee of [total fee for that class]. This fee compensates the tutor for the short notice and lost opportunity to fill the time slot.

Tutor Cancellations

• Tutors are expected to maintain their schedules accurately. If a tutor needs to cancel a session, they must notify the student as soon as possible. Tutors who frequently cancel sessions Will face penalties, including suspension or removal from the platform.

No-Shows

• If a student does not show up for a session without prior notice, the session fee will still be charged, and the tutor will be paid for their time.

• If a tutor does not show up for a session without prior notice, the student will be fully refunded, and the tutor will face penalties, including suspension or removal from the platform.

15. Rescheduling policy

Students and tutors can reschedule a session up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without any penalty. Rescheduling within 24 hours of the session may be treated as a cancellation, and the respective fees may apply.

16. Refund policy

• Refunds are issued in the following situations:
  • Tutor cancels a session.
  • Session did not occur due to technical issues on the platform.

• Refund requests must be submitted within [1 Hour] after the scheduled session. The platform will review and process eligible refunds within [24-48hrs]. Refunds will be transferred to your balance

17. Disclaimer of Liability

Prepni is not liable for:

Missed classes or technical issues

Tutor performance or content quality

Third-party platform interruptions (e.g., Google API downtime)

Losses due to unauthorized account access resulting from user negligence

18. Policy Changes

• The platform reserves the right to modify the cancellation policy at any time. Users will be notified of any changes in advance. Continued use of the platform after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
